Become a Dog Detective

Did you know that 77% of dog bites happen in the home, involving the family dog or the dog of a friend or relative?

The good news is that dogs are constantly communicating with us.  They use their body language to tell us when they're happy, worried, excited, overwhelmed or uncomfortable - but many children (and adults!) don't know how to recognise these signals.

In this fun, interactive class, children become "Dog Detectives" as they learn to spot the clues that reveal how a dog is feeling.  Through games, activities and real-life examples, they'll build the confidence to recognise common body language signals and understand what a dog might be trying to say.

By learning to "speak dog", children can make safer, kinder choices around dogs and begin building respectful relationships based on understanding rather than guesswork.
