Our kids and dogs workshops help children (7-12 yrs) learn how to understand, respect and care for their family dog.

These fun, practical classes teach kids:

• how to read dog body language
• how to interact safely and respectfully
• how to care for their dog's physical, mental and emotional needs
• and how to train dogs kindly using positive reinforcement

How It Works:

• 5 week course
• 60 minute classes
• A mix of kids only + with dog sessions
• Dog sessions capped at 4 dog / child teams for safety & support
• Casual spots available for non-dog classes

What Your Child Will Learn:

Week 1 - Be a Dog Detective (no dog)

Kids learn how to read dog body language

Week 2 - Be a Dog Whisperer (no dog)

Kids learn about consent and choice

Week 3 - Caring For Your Dog (no dog)

Kids learn how to look after their dogs to make sure they are living a happy and healthy life

Week 4 - Little Trainers Pt1 (with dog)

Kids learn how dogs learn through positive reinforcement

Week 5 - Little Trainers Pt2 (with dog)

Kids will build on their training skills strengthening teamwork and confidence in both kids and dogs
